How to deal with apathy

So basically all my life it has seemed like everyone else around me just feels stuff more. They enjoy food more than me. Enjoy movies/music/games more than me. Enjoy nature more than me. And i don’t know why.

For some reason all my life things that should feel good just don’t for me.

Atleast not as much as other people. I have never understood how people can listen to whole albums and music in general and actually enjoy it. (I enjoy some songs but it has to be very specific) like i cant listen to an album and just have a general enjoyment of all the songs.

Same with food. People always say they’re so excited to eat that and that. While for me its good i guess but not like people make it out to be.

I don’t wanna live like this. I wanna fix it. If you understand what im talking about and have fixed it or just wanna share ur experience please do.

I want to enjoy and feel the world as much as other people do

I feel the same way. I feel like my dopamine receptors are fried

I'm similar, I kinda just accepted it though because there's no point in faking it. Just do what you enjoy and don't worry about that type of stuff

You just have to find what you enjoy.

You have to try more things. And master them. You won't truly enjoy something until you become a master at it.
 
You're experiencing characteristics of someone with low extroversion and neuroticism. Both positive and negative emotions are low in frequency and intensity. This isn't so much as a bad thing but can be mitigated by practicing mindfulness and putting yourself in an environment that you find enjoyable.
 
I see. But what does practicing mindfulness mean? I’ve always heard it being said but I’ve never really understood what it mean and how to practice it

being more aware of the present moment

meditation is the main way in which you're able to practice mindfulness that will transfer over into your daily life

if that doesn't work get drunk

edit: not to be more mindful but to fix your general problem
