I'm 18 and have spent a good amount of time raising the money for a chin implant. It's a lot with hospital and anesthesia fees, as well as taxes, but I've managed to do it all on my own. I've done morphs to see how my profile will look after a chin implant and the results are astounding. My entire jawline, as well as my chin, look so much better. I know for a fact that going for this implant will harmonize my face a TON. Yet it's still off putting to think of calling my surgeon, setting a date and writing a cheque. Mainly for two reasons; typical pre surgery anxiety, as well as the thought of paying thousands of dollars for the implant; money I spent so long earning, due to other expenses like rent, groceries, etc. getting in the way. So my question is, how do I deal with these doubts and negative thought spirals? Anybody else deal with similar feelings? If so, what'd you do to get out of the negative headspace and focus on getting the surgery done? Appreciate it, thanks all

1: bro, just do it. you even said yourself that it makes you look loads better. so just do it. its as simple as doing those actions one by one. if it makes it easier on you just focus on getting 1 step done, then step 2, step 3, etc. take it little by little until all those steps added up to you getting your new chin

2. the earlier you get your chin fixed, the better. the longer you wait, the longer you waste your prime. money comes and goes dude, but you cant get back lost time. do it asap

Be a man and stop giving a fuck about everything. This mindset will get you laid a hundred times more than the chin implant ever could. You are going to be dead soon anyway and everything is meaningless. We are temporary meat bag primates and this is it. Stop taking it so seriously

Just think of it like you're going to the dentist

Just do it pussy and ascend and never look back

The majority of plastic surgeries are successes, only the ridiculous fails go viral

Surgeons are highly trained for years, he knows what he’s doing

They tend to err on the side of less is more, you’re much more likely to get an underwhelming result than a freakish one

Who is the surgeon btw is he a celeb?

Sounds like you're not yet 100% convinced it would actually make you look better. If you're not sure don't do it. Give yourself a day to think it through in detail and then make a decision at the end of that day. Once you made a decision, don't look back and act upon it. Ignore all feelings and thoughts of doubt or anxiety that arise after making your decision.

Look at it as an investment not money "spent" it will payoff given the better people will treat you, confidence in looking better, better looking people also have a better chance of getting hired for jobs etc

Your surgeon should reassure you. If he doesn't, then fuck him and find another professional that can put you in that state of peace before the surgery.

The surgeons that don't reassure you or calm you or help you get rid of your doubts usually see you only as a paycheck and they don't deserve your hard earned money.

Anyway, kudos for being so young and having the discipline to save all that money.

Im genetically prone to be self-doubt
I notice that its caused by emotional instability
You just have to perceivere and go forward

I constantly told myself Im ugly and you cant polish a turd, but then my emotional state changes and Im motivated again
You just hve to have a momentum to keep going.

Lol legit.

Meditation is the only way, that which gradually destroys your amygdala, the part of your brain responsible for 99% of negative emotions like fear, anxiety etc. Simply throwing words like ''dude, stop giving a fuck'' ''be a man'' won't fucking work. I'm tired of hearing ''bro, just stop caring about this or that''. These worries, these thoughts and things are deeply rooted in your brain. You can't expect to get rid of your anxiety short term by repeating mantra's or remembering motivational quotes from members of a website. The only way to be free of anxiety in whatever situation is to have simply put thousands of hours into mindfulness meditation, which i guess OP didn't do enough of.

Not a celeb but a good surgeon. Highly rated, with experience in chin implants. I agree with your points; the chances of something going wrong are pretty negligible. I'm getting over the doubts now, now that I've had some time to think about it.

I honestly don't think you should be getting cosmetic surgery if you can't easily afford it or had to give up a lot in pursuit. Others will disagree, but I always consider a backup plan if the surgery doesn't meet my needs. This plan always involves more money.

But otherwise, take a valium and don't worry about it.

at the end of the day man
you have to look at this as a investiment for the future this can change a lot once your down lookssmaxing

i can speak from experience after losing weight i got treated way better got taken more seirously and girls actually flkirted with me

like they said early it will probably go right you did the morphs and the research so go do it man its literally your happiness riding on this not to be dramatic

You should be full of anxiety because I would severely doubt myself to insert a foreign object in my face over moving the bone with a genioplasty.
