FIRST, WHAT MAY CAUSE BLOATING?
If youre not already at a low bf%, youre visibly obese, youre clearly a mass monster and aren't lean gtfo and loose some weight. I won't even get into what can help you lose weight, just take ozempic if it's really bad..
Once you're at a low bf%, preferably 9-12% and you're visibly lean you can then focus on debloating. Now, bloating is caused by many things but as most of you know, it's all about water fat and sodium- Atleast that's the simpler way to put it. Consuming alot of sodium = Water fat retention (could be anywhere really but it mainly affects your face), therefore "sodium flushing" (Drinking lots of water and consuming potassium, which works against sodium) is meant to debloat you.
I'll tell you why that's partially bullshit. I've seen people saying "ill eat 8 bananas and drink 2 litres of coconut water saar".. just because bananas contain potassium doesn't mean they don't contain carbs either (23g per 100g of banana).. and consuming lots of carbs isn't going to make you "debloated" or "chiseled" it'll probably make it worse. You should simply stick to a balanced sodium to potassium ratio, eat a good amount of sodium but always consume more potassium. The potassium must always outweigh the amount of sodium you're consuming, simple- don't be an idiot and just starve yourself and only eat bananas..
There's also the mineralocorticoid receptor , which is a mediator of the electrolyte and hemodynamic homeostasis of your body, however its also known as the aldosterone receptor. It plays a critical role in regulating fluids and electrolyte balance- Aldosterone is a hormone made by your adrenal glands, which are located on top of your kidneys. It's part of your RAAS system, (Renin-Angiotensin-Aldosterone-System), which controls;
- Salt and water retention
- Blood pressure
- Electrolyte balance
TOOLS TO HELP YOU DEBLOAT;
There are several tools to help you with this, they're called MR antagonists. Things like Eplerenone or Spironolactone are perfect examples of that. In my opinion, Eplerenone works best. It prevents aldosterone from binding to its receptors, meaning that your body stops holding sodium, let's go of water and keeps potassium too (which is worth monitoring, if the body keeps potassium but let's go of sodium there's a risk of hyperkalemia- but if you're not fucking stupid like some people just eat 1-2 sodium rich meals because you'll piss it out anyways, you'll keep the sodium)
Im personally about to start using Eplerenone, and i think its the best choice here. Spironolactone is also great, but Eplerenone just mogs it. Furosemide is also good, but we're looking at thing that will debloat you and not ruin your eye area the next day (I have the same approach to steroids, if im to take steroids or stuff like DHT then i need to make sure i can maintain the good looks and not wake up with a shit ton of acne). It's an interesting topic, but id always rather take a pill that solves all my problems then have to diet and starve myself for ages.
Back to Eplerenone, don't worry about dieting. If you consume enough salt, and monitor your potassium intake, you'll be fine. Eplerenone can also be "permanent", but by that i mean only YOU can make it permanent. If you're going to hop off Ep and start eating a shit ton of salt and sugar, then what the fuck do you expect? Stick to a decent diet, keep working out, drink water and the changes will be permanent.
You can also use ice to tighten your skin, although that's not going to solve the actual problem. Im tired of seeing sub 5s icing their face like maniacs thinking that's going to change their genetics and bone structure. Ice will just tighten your skin. Remember- debloating is a weapon, and it's often the ascension you'll need most.
Debloating makes THIS MUCH of a difference. Obviously theres posture and lighting, but that doesnt change the facts- once you debloat, you'll be more chiseled, might even get hollow cheeks if at a correct bf% and you'll overall just mog. Obviously it's also about genetics and having a good base, but it's still worth debloating.
Hope I didn't disappoint.
