* Always take action when you first notice any thinning of the hair whether it is visible to others or not.
1. Start daily scalp massages - at least 2 thorough scalp massages a day. This will help free up a tight scalp and improve oxygen flow to the hair follicles etc. Take a daily multi-vitamin also to make sure there are no zinc deficiencies or anything like that leading to hair loss.
2. Do neck stretches at least once a day for proper blood supply to the scalp.
After 3 days of loosening up your scalp:
3. Apply ice to scalp. Easiest way is to freeze water in some dixie cups and tear or cut off the upper part so the ice can be applied. You could also fill a plastic cup all the wat to the top with water and freeze it and the expanding ice should give you enough above the top of the cup to have enough ice to apply to the scalp.
Press the ice directly against the scalp and work your way around the whole area where a Norwood 7 is bald. Also apply just below your front hairline. You have to do this a few times until the pain kicks in and then repeat a couple of times until the pain kicks in again etc. When the ice reaches the skull you will get a delayed effect that can almost drop you to your knees so be prepared ahead of time expecting it and that is your signal to stop icing for a bit before you repeat a couple more times.
Icing is to be done for 2 straight days while also doing your daily scalp massages. Icing will reduce the inflammation. Icing the scalp triggers a strong warm blood flow to the area and will flush out toxins and DHT to give you a better environment to kick start your hair treatment. No more icing is to be done after the 2 days.
After the 2 days of icing the scalp:
3. Begin inversion therapy. If you have an inversion machine you can use that but if not you can lay on the end of the bed and lower your head down to get the blood flow down there. Just position yourself where you are just short of falling off the bed and have your head down below the top of the bed as much as possible. Do this for 6 minutes only 2 days a week. Every day is too much - 2 days a week is plenty. Inversion will get extra oxygen and nutrients to your scalp and hair follicles.
if you have a very stubborn case and the Norwooding continues after 2 months of daily scalp massages and twice weekly inversion therapy then you will need to start dermarolling and Minox but most people should be able to combat their hair thinning with the first techniques.
