How to find the right eye brow colour to dye for your hair colour?

A while ago I got my eye brows dyed but it dint change much as it was the same colour of my original eye brows. But it did slightly help. I dint know what eye brow colour to get so I just said to the foid what ever colour you think would work. She said ok you are yellow but I think I should go a few shades darker.

Does any one know how to find the right eye brow colour with out it looking weird af or gay?
