No but it’s a major improvement for width and vertical projection, which is a big part of jaw aesthetics. Also it improves chin if you need it.

You asked for a surgery to increase vertical projection or fix a short jaw, not a surgery to fix all your lower third failos.

Most likely you are brachyfacial if you have short lower third. Talk to maxfac

Or if you have short face then CW rotation with downgraft lengthens the lower third, all depends on your starting base

He does but then he brings the ramus forward along with the jaw, so you end up with an unnaturally forward set ramus. Also the mandible doesn't lengthen when this method is used, its just brought forward and widened, example:

To me the best option is to get BSSO with Mini Chin Wing, it means you cant widen the ramus corners, but thats worth the price to be able to keep the ramus back in its original position and also be able to lengthen the mandible because it can be cut in half and pulled apart (since the cut is in front of the ramus corner:

kinda stupid question, but is it still possible to get a genioplasty after bsso +mini chin wing? The chin wing doesn't broaden the chin as much as a genio i believe.

no idea lol, have to ask your surgeon. But imo Mini Chin Wing with BSSO > Genioplasty with BSSO, if you had to choose one or the other. When guys only get genioplasty their jaws look pointy and weak, bringing forward the mandible from just in front of the ramus makes the jaw robust and more masculine appearing.
