No intro, let’s get straight into it.
So what is ESR?
The eye space ratio, or eye-spacing ratio, is a facial aesthetic metric measuring the distance between the eyes (intercanthal distance) relative to the width of a single eye (palpebral fissure length), typically ideally considered 1:1, or 1:1:1 across the whole face. It helps determine if eyes are considered close-set, average, or wide-set.
This thread will be focusing on how to fix a wide ESR, as seen below.
Now generally the first response to someone asking how to fix their eye ratio on here is telling them to get OBO (Orbital Box Osteotomy.)
OBO is highly unpractical and considering it’s also super expensive and has likely never hit the 2 digits for number of patients that have had it, it’s generally a terrible decision to try and get OBO to fix a wide ESR.
For this thread, we are going to use the ascension of Lin00b as a reference.
Here are his before and after:
As you can see, in the first photo he is easily sub3, and his eye space ratio is wide and makes him look like Sid the Sloth. But in the second one, it’s somehow fixed.
At first glance it seems like the distance between his eyes got better, but this is not the case. The distance between his eyes is exactly the same. So what changed? Why is he perceived so much better?
Let’s use an analogy for this:
Look at the peak between these two mountains, in this photo they look to be a pretty sizable distance apart. However if we were to zoom out and make the entire base of the photo larger like so:
They suddenly look a lot closer to each other for reference, this is because the overall size of the photo widened, creating the illusion that they became closer apart.
The same science applies to the human face.
The reason Lin00b’s frontal changed so much and a seemingly impossible failo was fixed was because he got implants that widened his facial width to height ratio and his bi-zygomatic width as well as his bigonial width.
What implants?
1. Zygo Implants, each case is different since it’s not a 1 size fits all implant but the basis is, it makes you have significantly more prominent cheekbones.
A standard before and after of zygo implants:
2. Jaw Implants, pretty standard, just makes your jaw wider and sharper.
A standard before and after of jaw implants:
These two procedures combined widen the face significantly and more importantly, the eyes remain in the exact same place, so with a wider base, the eye space ratio looks more balanced.
Obviously this will only work if your skull is narrow and can take some widening like Lin00b’s did (which applies to 95% of people with a too wide ESR, especially men.)
Lin00b also did get other procedures but afaik those were for other failos, not to address eye spacing. Here is his TikTok account if you want to stay updated with him: (Not advertising, I do not know him.)
But what if you can’t afford implants? Great news, you can also do DIY filler. Below are threads by very high quality members on how to do filler effectively on your face.

https://looksmax.org/threads/finished-diy-chin-filler-videos-and-pics.1878506/ - @Sayori (has videos and gives a general idea on what to expect when injecting fillers.
Sayori has also done zygo filler recently, follow him to see the results as this is exactly what you need to do to fix a wide ESR.
Filler gives very similar results as implants, it is just temporary, lasting for a few months before needing to be refilled.
I do want to say that I personally do not have any issues with my ESR, this thread was made because I believe it hasn’t been addressed at all in BOTB or in any other popular threads to my knowledge.
