How to fix burning redness around the lips

I have this for quite a long time now, I thought it would just heal up by time but I was wrong and now its almost burning/red all day long.
and yes I drink enough water and don’t bite my lips I also use vaseline
also the pic isnt mine

I had that when I was really young, but it stopped after I wiped my mouth after every time I ate so it was clean and also stopped predominantly mouth-breathing. Also make sure it's dry.

When my mouth was wet after wiping away food, it would still dry out and get sore from evaporation, so just making sure to dry after wiping helped.

As a side note, I find it interesting how not many people seem to do this. I do it after every time I eat, yet out of my friend group and even family I seem to be the only one that does it.
