Dry after the wash means you just need to hydrate and moisturize it, try using a leave-in conditioner to lock in moisture if you haven't, also your genes might have sebum (the hair oils) produce way faster so it gets greasy the next day

Shampoo, Condition, Leave-in Conditioner and preferrably blow dry with a cold setting depending if you have wavy, straight, curls, etc

Idk, I use shampoo once or twice a year for the last 5 years, my hair is insanely healthy, zero dryness, not greasy at all, never had dandruff in my life.
