CT scans are notoriously pretty expensive so here's how to get one for free (You NEED insurance).
1. Go to your family doctor/GP with someone and say you had a head injury yesterday or a few days ago (explains why you have no bump on your head). Tell the doc that you saw stars and you feel dizzy and it's hard to walk because you feel off balance. Play the part too and make it seem believable.
2. Your doctor should refer you to get a CT Scan at a hospital because you could have a fracture in your skull or internal bleeding (very dangerous). They will write you a note or something and recommend you a hospital to go to since only hospitals have CT scans. Insurance will cover this because it is deemed medically necessary but ask your doctor if in doubt.
3. Go to the hospital and let them know what's going on. You shouldn't have too much waiting time because head injuries are serious and you should be getting your scan prompto! When you meet with the doctor hand him the note your other doctor gave you.
You will be placed into this thing and have your brain microwaved. When a staff member comes to tell you your results ask to see the scan. They will probably show you a scan of your brain and skull but ask to see the side profile image the scan took too. Take a pic of it (they will probably email it to you if you ask too) and just wait until your discharged from the hospital. Boom! Now you have your CT scan covered by insurance.
I actually had a head injury a couple days ago and got a CT scan out of it the same way it was detailed in this guide so if you make up a believable larp you could get one too!
