How to get a good social circle/friendgroup?

Join a combat sports gym, after you settle in start sparring with the same person often, after a while of doing this find out what his vice is (drinking, smoking weed, etc). Ask if he wants to partake in it after training, do this a couple times, integrate more people from your gym over time

This just sounds very pushy and retarded. I’ve tried to bond with people that have similar interests as me but it never worked out.

I also want to say that I have never been invited to a function ever in my life despite many attempts.
