How to get a palate expander?

So basically I’m in a situation where I’m getting a free orthodontist treatment, where I get braces for free and a surgical procedure (mandible advancement) for my jaw. Problem is I have a narrow palate and sometimes I bite my tongue because of it and my tongue is larger then my palate so I can’t hold correct tongue posture, Instead of fixing this problem with a palate expander, my orthodontist are giving me extractions. How to go about with this and effectively prevent this from happening and make them give me a palate expander.

Usually some ortho places offer palate expanders while some don't. Tell your ortho you're looking for expanding and protact not extractions, they usually offer palate expander first THEN braces.
