if what you say is true any reasonable insurance company will be covering jaw surgery for you. Misaligned jaws and bite are functional issues and insurance companies only will cover functional issues. But of course( with knowledge of facial aesthetics you can assure that your surgeon’s plan will improve your aesthetics as well. Good luck and godspeed

Consult other surgeons. I was told everything from "your jaws look fine please leave" (most local surgeons I consulted), to "you definitely need bimax + ccw and a genio" (gunson, posnick)

Sleep apnea, but the results might not be aesthetically good if they focus on that.

Edit: That was for insurance to cover it. If you're paying and get turned down you should see someone else.
