I did an 8-month cycle of Accutane which, at a certain point, completely got rid of blackheads and made my skin immaculate.
After the cycle, they returned, though not nearly as bad as before.
I’m confident that given another cycle of Accutane, they would disappear completely.

The past two weeks I’ve been having cold showers
I’ve also been scrubbing my face and body with Epsom salts.
I’m not sure if this has contributed to my improved skin, or if it has simply worked as an exfoliant.
At first, results were only short term, and once my skin went back to regular temperature, so did pore size and blackheads.
Results have started lasting longer and longer.
The blackheads have completely gone away for the last 3 days.

havent had this yet but it should work for blackheads
What kinda works
Work short term but won’t fix the root of the problem.
Irritate the skin in the process of destroying blackheads.
I once went outside for 6 hours doing some stuff after using a sulfur mask the night before.
My skin got a serious case of hyperpigmentation and sun damage.
It didn’t matter that I continuously applied 100 SPF sunscreen throughout the 6 hours.
I was on Accutane as well, which likely contributed to the situation.

I’ve used them to get rid of especially bad blackheads with success.
The inflammation and skin damage from the process can be helped with niacinamide and moisturizer.
By the end of the next day, the blackheads were always back.

What doesn't work
Will shrink pores temporarily.
Skin goes back to normal in under an hour.
Doesn’t get rid of dirt or blackheads.

In YouTube videos, I’ve only seen them remove whiteheads.
Exfoliating is 10 times better.
Not adhesive enough to remove blackheads successfully.
Pretty much useless products/scam.

Tried purple light therapy.
Never got anything out of it.
No results for blackheads or pore size.

Irritates and inflames the skin.
Skin increases sebum and oil production after use to compensate for dryness.
Doesn’t affect blackheads at all.
Increased oil production and inflammation make blackheads and pores worse.
Similar to tretinoin, but much worse.
