How to get the perfect hair texture or volume

How do I obtain the perfect volume and texture so my hair can stay still without getting flat with only a bit of a blown wind, is there something specific to ask at the salon? or any products or the way I treat my hair. Help me out! there are some existing threads already but know me I'm a lazy guy to search through all of them.
