Story of ortho treatment
I mean, the treatment with braces with elastic bands at the age of 14-15. I had a distal type of bite. And they put elastics on my front teeth on upper jaw and on the back teeth on the bottom jaw. At the age of 14, 2 wisdom teeth were removed from the upper jaw due to the fact that they were growing incorrectly in the dentition. At the age of 15, there are 2 wisdom teeth in the lower jaw. I didn't lose any more teeth, of course I regret the loss of wisdom teeth, but my brother has been missing since birth, but his jaw is wider. No one is doing wisdom tooth implants, and it's just useless. I know I was a jerk who was tricked by fucking orthodontists, I have a proper bite now, but the aesthetics of the face are lost.

Parameters

- The upper palate is 35 mm between the fours and 38 mm between the premolars.
- The lower teeth are slightly rolled inwards.
- All the teeth are in place, but the wisdom teeth that grew at an angle are missing.
- high gonial angle and small forward grow
- Recessed maxilla (I think it's because of elastics)
- The sunken chin, it was even worse before the treatment, because the lower jaw was behind.
- I can't find the orthodontic treatment history with photos with X-rays because I'm going to the orthodontist only tomorrow.

? New question and the old ones are new again ?
I'm 16 now and I'm going to another orthodontist tomorrow, which I should consider. Should I also remove the permanent retainer, which was placed on 6 teeth from below and above, does it interfere with forward growth?
+ I also attach photos

:(
I've already fucked up looking for a solution, i literally do the same topics and the only one who gave me a good opinion is lurking truecel :). And I know that I will need bimax+genio when ill be 18, but I live in CIS, there are few experienced specialists here who can do this efficiently. Tell me how to improve the situation at least a little while I'm 16.
At the moment, I am considering expanding the upper palate and correcting the tilt of the lower teeth so that the jaw is larger.

Very rare to see a gray actually put precise info like this. This needs a high IQ answer which I'm currently unable to provide as I'm too tired

Base. So I'm waiting for a high IQ response.

ur only hopes at ur age are prioritizing posture and improving ur diet and even then that'll be more of a prevention than a solution. If u really wanna fix ur problems u could ask ur ortho for a reverse pull mask. I remember seeing a study where an 18 year old with mild maxillary recession successfully underwent a reverse pull facemask. Your palate isnt really that big of a problem, and expanding it wont do much for you (aesthetically) Your permanent retainer can affect your growth but I like to think if it's an underbite retainer (meaning it simply stops the teeth from pulling back) it won't be that meaningful. Your maxilla and lower jaw dont seem significantly recessed, its more the chin
Ask ur ortho for a CT scan first and express ur worries

Thank you for the good reply. I'll ask for a CT scan . Now I've started spending more time on my posture and mewing. It is as if the distal bite does not occur out of the blue and this could be due to the incorrect position of the tongue in childhood. But I've never breathed through my mouth.
I had two orthodontists and both were devils who didn't care about the aesthetics of the face, they wanted to give me an even bite and teeth.
I would like to offer the new orthodontist an MSE + face mask and it might work, hopefully they won't think I'm crazy.

I'm glad that everything turned out without removing premolars and fours, as it was with other guys. So I didn't drown myself too much and I can still ascend.

Are there any other High IQ members?

Malocclusion is mostly caused by bad habits, which include even habits as a baby, such as sucking on your thumb or lacks of hard food. Tongue positioning is necessary for proper facial development, but it only matters up to 13~ years of age. It can also be genetics but mostly its bad habits.

All right. But unfortunately, I've already fixed this shit, and now I just want to deal with the problem of a sunken chin and jaw.

we are genetically predisposed. bad habits are from genetics

i got the two lower ones removed brodie. my lower jaw was genetically predisposed and recessed. upper jaw isnt. i have very defined portruding maxilla but my lower jaw failed because of mouth breathing up until i was 13. ggs. i have high set prominent zygos bc i have a overbite malocclusion.

well my family all had to get their wisodm teeth out so its genetics LOL. we have wider jaws and my wisdom teeth grew in when i was 14 years old because of a wide but recessed mandible. im lit the only one with a recessed mandible in my family LOL.

If you're referring to wisdom tooth extraction, I don't think it could have much effect.
I've always had a sunken lower jaw and a sunken chin, most likely genetically because I've never breathed through my mouth. I have a deep distal bite, but orthodontic treatment improved my lower jaw a little, but pushed the upper one back. It's horrible.

I guess you just have to do good oral habits and maybe lots of facepulling, and mewing with pressure. But I'm not so sure. Maybe you can try myofunctional therapy? And retainers, they might be blocking gains? Though there's a high chance you'll need bimax/genio to accomplish what you want.

I'm thinking of offering the orthodontist to remove retainers, but what's the chance that the teeth won't come apart.

I want to improve the situation now as much as possible without surgical operations like bimax (I'll think 1000 times about whether to do it when I turn 18). I understand that I'm not a subhuman, but nevertheless, I spent my entire childhood with mild distal occlusion, which seemed to debuff my lower third. Fuck, it's already 2025 and I'm still reading topics on this forum where people have fours and premolars removed due to distal occlusion :hnghn:

is there really no orthodontic solution for me, how can I improve the situation at least a little?

fuck. I joined orthodontics at the age of 14. they could have given me a twinblock, but these faggots went the way of narrowing the jaw.

mse and a facemask would save you from horror, maybe imdo too, dont get a reverse pull headmask that shit will give you overbite, instead use the forwaorthodontist one (look it up online first link) its 500$ but its worth it , after that maybe get a genioplasty and some jaw implants, and you'll be chad

maybe after mse you could get some teeth implants or something to simulate
No one makes wisdom teeth implants, it's useless. I don't think MSE+FM will give me anything, just a snack. If I really want to change something, I'll have surgery, but I've already begun to realize that I don't necessarily need it.

get surgery, atleast mse

I've watched ALF and AGGA, including facemask, which will do nothing but push teeth and cause malocclusion. I haven't been that age for a long time.

UH OH ,mse will open your maxilla sutures apart from your palate one, and you attach the fm to your mse, or maybe bone anchored, you wont attach the fm to the teeth lol so dumb

I have never seen the results of such treatment anywhere and who would do such a thing. It sounds good in words, but it's all very poorly controlled and not worth it.
