Sun will make hair lighter, its spring now and hair will start to get lighter now already. Im sure you will achieve that, but if you want more dye
Dyeing your hair is a better alternative to prolonged sun exposure; mediterranean people for example risk getting a very dark tan, turning indian:feelswhy:

Yeah, depends on people, white people like what is shown in the pic will get benefits from sun and look better. But you know you will always have to be out in the summer, stucking in the home is just a waste of the season. Hair lightening will happen naturally without effort, getting too much tan is just a subplot for that

Wont that just make it look red

Wont that just make it look red
as far as I'm aware, the brown hair become reddish since the bleaching process is slow and follows some sort of pattern
Black hair โ†’ Brownish hair
Brown hair โ†’ reddish/coppery hair
Red hair โ†’ golden red hair (looks dirty blonde)
Blonde hair โ†’ golden blonde hair
