How to handle highschool disrespect

There's always somebody judging me for actions I did in the past or just commenting negatively on any aspect of me

Am I just supposed to confront them because I avoid people like this anyways but when I have to be near them it annoys me

I look better now and am treated better but it seems people who know me from the past keep clinging on to bullshit

Like being called a pedo for talking to a girl 1 yr younger or being called unathletic (I am so I don't say anything)

I never cared about reputation but it's refreshing how when new people meet me they never say anything negative

The pedo rumor is such an exaggeration. You could talk to an authority figure or you can rationalize yourself to people you care about so that your reputation is safe. Demonize your enemies and invalidate their statements. Worst case scenario you resort to physical violence and animalistic domination to shut them up for good.
