i genuinely hate wearing anything tight, even though im one of the only people at my school who has worked out for a while/takes the gym seriously.

i have horrible body dysmorphia and i want to be like the skinny 120 pound fags who wear form-fitting clothing and aren’t insecure

any tips on getting any better with it

you'll be okay.

dont malnourish yourself to "look like the skinny 120 fags". you likely dont have the same build or frame as them to begin with, it would be stupid to try to copy them.

my advice to you as somebody who was pretty self conscious about his body is to just not care. dont care about anything that doesnt make you happier or healthier or better as a person. who cares what people think of how your shirt fits around your shoulders or chest? you're yourself and nobody else is.

everybody has worries of their own. everybody stresses about things that they think would make them undesirable, weird, unpopular, etc.
nobody cares enough to pay attention to your body for more than passing glance. everybody is caught up in their shit.
people like you and me would know about that all too well, right? pretty ironic lol

what im trying to say, is that you need to accept yourself and stop caring about what others think, because most of the time they dont think about something as miniscule as your body for more than a moment or two. And if they do? Pity them. I used to make fun of people for how they looked. How their shirt had a couple extra folds. How their hair isnt tidy. How their clothes were wrinkled or dirty. I was miserable. I didnt have anything better to do, and im willing to bet that anybody that cares about how YOUR body looks like is in the same boat as i was way back then.

im sorry if this was a little extreme, im just a bit riled up in general as of late.
I really hope this helped, or at the very least expanded your point of view.

again, im not an expert. if you feel like you need genuine help dont be afraid to reach out to a therapist. its not shameful or scary, everybody has problems. none of us are perfect.
