-How to improve Midface Ratio-

Hi everyone! In this guide i will try to help/motivate users with a bad midface ratio fullfiling their looksmax journey. It will not be very groundbreaking or something you never heard before, but all methods you see here are really the only one available for this cause.

So.. lets begin.

• Midface Shortening:
Start by measuring:
-nose
-ipd
-philtrum
with a ruler to be accurate
Let's say you're midface is 0.92 and youre measures are:
Ipd=60mm
Nose=50mm
Philtrum=15mm
》60/(50+15)=0.92
Why we need to know these? It will be much easier improving your ratio knowing accurate measures


️How to improve it:
*Rhinoplasty: alar reduction(if you need it)+refinement and lower the tip as much as possible(lets say 2mm). Now your nose will be = 48mm (but philtrum 17mm)
Now...
*Lip lift = this can shorten your philtrum even up to 6mm. Lets say you will get 4mm reduction. Your philtrum will be = 13mm
For...
*IPD
>Lateral box osteotomy
>MLF3(if you need it) + ccw rotation
This 2 can improve IPD by 1.5-2mm (esp LBO by dr Sinn Douglas) so your IPD now got lets say 62mm
I will not put MSE because its nothing clear whenever improves ipd or not (you can try it ofcourse)

Result of midface ratio now:
After: 62/(48+13)=1.01


Ik we already knew all of this but i made it look more simple and maybe encourange some people here

And for philtrum just get a lip lift
If your lips are already big get a lip reduction after

Sinn himself said mlf3 can improve ipd

That's lifefuel for people who need that tbh. I just like High LF1 because it literally improves everything you get from a regular LF1 but also mitigates the chances of chimp lip from over advancement and gives undereye support without even touching the orbital area.

Lip lift is not a good idea for anyone with above average sized lips to large. Your proposition is probably the best I have seen for that but it would also be costly. I see a lot of people who get noticeably shorter philtrum ratios from CCW rotation but that might be placebo from longer lower third and taller lower third height.

@RealSurgerymax I think your input here is going to be interesting. He says that a alar base reduction makes the midface looks shorter but in the pic its visible how after the cirurgy she got the appearance of a longer face. What do you think?

I do it from scans, soft tissue too, after putting it in Frankfurt. As a part of formal analysis service
