You have to listen to powerful orators. Steve Jobs for instance, is not the loudest or even clearest speaker, but his ability lies in being able to describe incredibly complicated thoughts into simple principles. The question lies in the distinction of lingual capacity and communicability, as in, even if you had no lisp could you still speak in a way that rouses people. To add, I would highly recommend pen drills where you bite down on a pen horizontally and try to sound as clear as possible when reading something out loud. This is what Demosthenes did, and it seemingly worked.
