in this thread im going to talk about all the steps of injecting aqualyx and im going to talk about the anatomy around it;
iam not a doctor so everything you do is on your own will.
btw i did a few aqualyx injections (one of them falied so thats why im making this thread so you wont do the same mistake)

by no means this is medical advice. any one respond differently to this.

what im going to talk about this thread:
1. what is aqualyx and what does it do?

2. where to do it?

3. injection technique

4. the anatomy of aqualyx

5. after care

lets start:feelsgood::

1. what is aqualyx and what does it do?
What is Aqualyx? Aqualyx, the renowned fat-dissolving solution, has gained attention for its ability to target stubborn pockets of fat. Injecting Aqualyx is a procedure that demands precision and expertise. It’s strongly recommended to seek the guidance of a qualified medical professional for a safe and effective experience. (search for someone who know what hes talking about and do it with him on live). Aqualyx is an injectable compound made from the deoxycholate family of acids. The acids present in Aqualyx cause fat destruction in the body and that what make you that "debloat" look. This treatment works on the same principle as the way our bodies break down fat. Our bodies produce an acid called desoxycholan, this is a bile acid that helps the digestion of fat. This Aqualyx® solution contains the same bile acid our bodies make naturally, and its fat dissolving properties are utilised in this treatment for targeted fat reduction. It works by attaching itself to the wall of the fat which makes the fat cells unstable and releases the content of the fat into the body, which the body then uses up as energy.

2. where to do it?

Precise Fat Targeting: Aqualyx is ideal for areas that resist diet and exercise, like the chin, cheeks, eye bags . Non-Surgical: Unlike liposuction, Aqualyx requires no incisions or general anaesthesia, offering a less invasive alternative with minimal downtime. the fat dissolver is injected under the skin directly into the fat layer with a special needle or cannula. The procedure is carried out under local anesthetic.

i assume most of you got into this thread beacuse you wanna inject in your cheeks or eye bags so thats how to do it:
The treatment area will be cleaned and topical anaesthetic may be applied for comfort. The solution will be injected using a fine needle. The area will feel warm and you may experience a slight burning or stinging sensation.

how much to inject:
For example, a small under chin area (double chin) will respond to less treatment than a large abdomen. Aqualyx comes in 8ml vials and the prices above are based upon using the maximum recommended doses (4 x 8ml vials for one area in one session).

how to make the best of the injection:
To improve your body's response to treatment, keep pinching the area that was treated. This will stimulate it and help the Aqualyx to work properly. The side-effects of Aqualyx include swelling, bruising and pain in the treated area. you will need 2-4 treatments to make the most of it. After the treatment, the area treated will get very swollen and will feel very sore. It is also important to apply warm compress and start massaging the area gently from the day of treatment. The massage should be daily and should increase in strength as the swelling subsides.

3. injection technique

how to inject aqualyx properly? Local anaesthetic Aqualyx can either be injected directly form the vial or diluted with a local anaesthetic. Typically, between 0.2ml and 1ml of Lidocaine 2% is added to the 8mls of Aqualyx.

How to mix with Lidocaine Draw up 1ml of lidocaine and inject it directly into the 8ml vile of Aqualyx. 8ml vile of Aqualyx and 1ml of 1-2% Lidocaine = 9ml 9ml = 900 insulin units.

Injection technique- It is possible to inject Aqualyx in to the subcutaneous fatty layer of the skin using 0.5ml or 1ml insulin syringes with needles.

1 VIAL 8ml vial of Aqualyx and 1ml of 1-2% Lidocaine = 9ml 9ml is 900 insulin units 900 insulin units divided between 30 boxes = 30 units per injection. ½ VIAL 450 insulin units divided between 15 boxes = 30 units per injection.

4. the anatomy of aqualyx

structre of the skin:
501 Structure of the skin

The skin is composed of two major layers: a superficial epidermis and a deeper dermis. The epidermis consists of several layers. The topmost layer consists of dead cells that shed periodically and is progressively replaced by cells formed from the basal layer. The dermis connects the epidermis to the hypodermis, and provides strength and elasticity due to the presence of collagen and elastin fibres. The hypodermis, deep to the dermis of skin, is the connective tissue that connects the dermis to underlying structures; it also harbours adipose tissue for fat storage and protection.

Although you may not typically think of the skin as an organ, it is in fact made of tissues that work together as a single structure to perform unique and critical functions. The skin and its accessory structures make up the integumentary system, which provides the body with overall protection. The skin is made of multiple layers of cells and tissues, which are held to underlying structures by connective tissue (Figure 1). The deeper layer of skin is well vascularized (has numerous blood vessels). It also has numerous sensory, and autonomic and sympathetic nerve fibres ensuring communication to and from the brain.

5. after care

Pressure is recommended for the first 48 – 72 hours to help reduce pain in the first 12 hours and reduce the oedema effect.

Lymphatic drainage or massage of the area is also recommended for 2 to 3 weeks post treatment.

Aqualyx is an injectable solution used to dissolve localised fat deposits in areas such as the hips, saddle bags, thigh, knees jowls and chin. The body then expels the released fatty acids naturally. The number of treatments required varies depending on the thickness of fat to be removed. Typically 1-3 treatments for small areas (e.g. jowls) and 2-8 treatments for larger areas (e.g. thighs) at six weekly intervals.

Recovery instructions: After treatment the area may redden and swelling and bruising may be experienced.

Aqualyx works by causing an inflammatory reaction in the fat cells which can result in swelling that lasts 3-5 days. This swelling can be obvious when having facial treatments (e.g. chin). During this time you may want to organise time off work / social engagements. Swelling can be reduced with the use of a cool pack wrapped in a clean cloth and used for a maximum of 20 mins. Do not use any anti-inflammatory tablets for 48 hours.

Do not apply make-up or skincare to the treated area for 12 hours - then only use a clean brush or sponge for application until day five.

Avoid for: • Three days - extreme temperatures, swimming pools / spas / saunas.

• 10 days - physical exercise.

• 14 days - laser, cryolipolysis or radiofrequency treatments.
Common side effects:

• Red, tight and itchy skin.

• Swelling.

The treated area may feel tender and firm for up to eight weeks after your treatment.

Adverse reaction awareness: Pain and discharge is not normal.

hope this guide helped you. good luck and if you have questions ask me :)
