That never happened to me because I live in Asia.

Best iois I had were 1) a tall(5 ft 11? 6?), blonde White woman who was maybe 26?(I was 23 then) And had ubermensch Nordid features just kept looking at my face

A lot of women would call you handsome just to catch your attention, or to compliment you. but it doesn't make you 8/10. If you are the best option for a particular girl, even if you are 4/10, and she wants you, she will call you handsome. IMO
