Most are boring and weird compared to American shows, it might put you off from learning the language, back when I was a kid, TV stations in my country used to show a much wider variety of movies, cartoons and tv shows including Italian, French, German, Mexican, Indian, etc., but the American ones were the best and most popular which led most people to focus on learning English.
