hi guys ,

Im 29 and i have nw0-1 hair and good quality hair, after getting a good haircut im having alot of success with women.

but now i realize how important a good hairstyle is. I'm scared to go bald now

I dont have any signs of balding but im wondering is there any chance ill go bald and how does it work?

some of my uncles have full head of hair and the others are balding.

my older brother started loosing his hair from his forehead when he was my age but hes aging way different to me,, i have been aging really well and my forehead shape is different.

eat your natural diet and you literally cant lose hair, hair loss is a sign of toxic blood

Most widely accepted theory is that when DHT interacts with your hair follicles, it causes miniaturisation, leading to thinning and eventually loss of the hair.

Some of your testosterone, when catalysed by 5-alpha-reductase, gets converted into DHT.

Finasteride is a medication which inhibits 5-alpha-reductase, reducing the amount of DHT produced.

The most important thing to do if you're trying to prevent hair loss is to start taking Finasteride.

(Minoxidil causes the hair to grow thicker, but doesn't prevent loss. Kzetokonozole kills some bacteria or fungus or something on the scalp that is thought to accelerate hair loss in some men.)

However, I believe the standard dose of 1mg per day is way higher than necessary and will cause the side effects that people talk about.

It's generally accepted by internet autists that about 0.2mg per day has almost the same reduction in serum DHT levels (level of DHT in the blood) as 1mg per day.

Ideally, we would just want to reduce DHT in the scalp as opposed to the entire bloodstream. Some study showed that even just 0.05mg a day had almost same reduction in scalp DHT as 1mg a day.

Furthermore, there is some Japanese study that took a group of men who had been taking 1mg of Finasteride a day for a year, and reduced the dosage down to 1mg per month, and the majority of them had retained the same amount of hair as the group of men who stayed on the 1mg per day dose.

I (early 20s, also norwood 0-1) started taking finasteride about a year ago.

Got an online prescription for 1mg a day, cut the tablets into quarters and took 0.25mg once every 5 days (equivalent to 0.2mg a day).

I temporarily lost morning wood, although I could still get erections if provoked, but the morning wood came back after a week. I may have a very slight amount of gyno, but it's not noticeable unless someone is really looking for it from the right angle.

Now, I take 0.25mg only twice a week.

Do not listen to faggots who say "the side effects are gonna make your dick fall off, just shave and be bald bro", but also, be cautious about the finasteride dosage, and remain curious by looking into alternative theories.

There exist other, less well-accepted theories about the primary cause of hair loss, the one I'm currently looking into is the one promoted Ray Peat admirers:

If you start taking finasteride, and experience some side effects, I would suggest lowering the dose, and also, looking into ways to decrease estrogen. I'm doing this now and don't know enough to give recommendations.
