What? That would make it look a lot worse. If your face is already long, how can making the sides short and top long make it look better? That would just elongate the face

Because the long top hair makes the face look shorter, and the short sides makes the face look wider.

You look more robust (below the eyebrows) with the long on top. Only your forehead looks wider with short hair, but wide zygos>wide forehead

Thats because in the first pic i had a lower beard length + i chewed on my left masseter (which would be the right in those pics) becuase i have chin +masseter assymetry.

Now i usually go for a number 3 on the sides and 2 fingers or so on top
Number 3 is still some buzz tho

Honestly didnt do much i just grew a beard
The thing with a beard is that it will make your face look wider but at the same time longer so its not easy to balance

And haircut i used to do like fades starting from the 0 guard but now im trying out number 3 on the sides to see how it looks

You need width. Long midface is not the problem. Get longer hair on the sides, bigger neck and bigger jaw to compensate.
