canthopexy specifically raises the lateral canthus which lifts the lower lid as a byproduct, lower lid retraction specifically targets the lower eyelid to lift, best used for cases with somewhat significant scleral show, although it seems that op's canthal tilt is already ideal, maybe even too much (feminising) so he should specifically do lower lid retraction (no canthal tilt increase) to avoid over feminising the eye area
