School season is starting so I am making this guide because I see a lot of young rotters here that can use their time at getting better at sports instead of rotting here
Requirements:
Acceptable height and weight + gymmax for the sport
5'6 famous streamer / youtuber played in his college football team.
For the sake of simplicity I will be using basketball as an example
There are 4 factors to follow when getting better at a spot:
1. Fundamentals
2. Practice
3. Strategy
4. Mentality
1. Fundamentals
Every sport has FUNDAMENTALS that you need to learn. Now where can you learn these fundamentals? Coaching, websites, youtube for this example I got the fundamentals from masterclass.com. The fundamentals of basketball are listed above from dribbling to passing, etc. This is an example of fundamentals, every sport has them, it's your job to identify them.
2. Practice
Now that you identified your sport's fundamentals, it's time to practice them. Practice them until they reach your subconscious mind.
3. Strategy
Develop an analytic mind so that you can figure out strategy for your sport. On youtube you can find kobe's detail series to develop an analytical mind for basketball on youtube. You can record yourself playing and review yourself to improve.
Ever wondered who those dudes were sitting by the coach? They are part of the "strategy" team. They have analytical minds for the sport.
4. Mentality
A lot can be put into this category but I got better things to do, just read up on sports psychology / psychology. Do not ignore this factor.
Getting good at sports is fun, you can compete at school, with friends, at your local gym if there's an arena for it
Take care / get good grades / socialise with people, don't rot here too much and good luck
