I have for many years struggled with mental health. Not in the depressive manner or anything but more in the existential manner. I never sleep fully as I always have vivid nightmares and even visions whilst awake. It is even worse when I get paranoid as I started to blame non existent issues such as potential invisible cameras or black vans that stalk me when they never do. IT is a horrid experience.
How do you deal with this? Avoid medications unless if you truly need it as a last effort as most of them now a days only harm your mental state. My mental issues are a mix of genetic and years on end isolation.
1. Try and sleep good, a good amount of sleep will work greatness upon your psyche.
2. Eat well as again, diet might not make you an appeal maxxed giga chad but it will make life much more bareable. Which sadly is difficult again for me as I suffer from AFRID. I do not taste, nor do I like to eat. It is a chore, I do not believe I am overweight or anything but I just do not find eating appealing in any way. I hate the sounds, nothing makes me want to violently mangle someones face with a hatchet than hearing someone chew like an overwieght swine. Disgusting, anyone who does asmr should be put into an asylum. Disgusting creatures, swollen tumours of gluttony.
3. Socialise and speak with others. Unless if you are isolated.
4. Sex, if you have a girlfriend or some side hoe. Sex is always one of the best things to help out a damaged mind or faltering mind.
5. Set up a routine. It keeps things clean.
DO NOT meet therapist, psychiatrists or any of those lot. They are no better than brainless machines programmed to repeat sentances to comfort your soul. They are there to weaken your shield so they can expoilt your interior weaknesses.
