HERES GREYCELZOOMER MAKING A HIGH EFFORT THREAD THEY THOUGHT IT WOULD NEVER HAPPEN
What if I told you: Everything you've been told about how to use dishwashers by big detergent is WRONG, you DON'T need to rinse the dishes before putting them in a dishwasher, and you actually use 80% LESS water when using modern dishwashers compared to hand washing dishes?
Well all of that is TRUE!
This guide will cover everything you need to know about maximizing efficiency while minimizing costs, from detergent, to maintenance, and other strategies.
INTRODUCTION:
You might ask: why dishwashermaxx in the first place?
Well it's simply superior to any other method of cleaning the dishes. More time to fuck your LTB girlfriend, more time to gymcel, more time to rot on org.
In reality, take a look at this chart:
Factor | Hand washing | Dishwasher |
---|---|---|
Water usage | 27 gallons/load | 3-5 gallons a load |
Time | 30-45+ minutes on washing stupid shit | 5 minutes of loading/unloading |
cleaning costs | Expensive ass watered down soap | negligible costs when using correct detergent |
IN SIMPLER TERMS:
SAVE MONEY
MAKE YOUR DISHWASHER LAST LONGER,
GET CLEANER DISHES WITH MINIMAL EFFORT,
USE LESS DETERGENT
WHAT does this guide consist of?

- Debunking copes
- Machine maintenance
- Filter
- Spray arms
- The Wash
- Hot Water
- Detergent
- Rinse aid
DEBUNKING COPES:
"MUH COST"
DISHWASHERS use 3-5 gallons of water while handwashing uses 25+
"MUH ELECTRICITY"
this isnt a problem unless you're a third worldER. modern dishwashers have become VERY power efficient, costing at max 30 cents for a load. think about it inkwell, 30 cents an hour, lets say you slave really hard and wash the dishes in 30 minutes. you just saved yourself....... 60 CENTS AN HOUR! PROUD OF YOURSELF?
MACHINE MAINTENANCE:
Filter
Most dishwashers have a filter. You need to clean that shit, monthly. If you didn't know, and this is your first time finding out: go fucking clean that nasty shit. And from now on you should clean it monthly.
Spray arms:
This is where the water gets shot out from. Check it every 3 months, if you see its dirty/clogged clean it out.
Also, many machines have a slot for rinse aid next to the detergent cart. Change that shit once a month:
Great Value Liquid Rinse Agent, Unscented Scent, 16 Fluid Ounce, 1 Count
If you hear weird noises or notice poor cleaning, check the filter and spray arms first before calling a repair guy. Most dishwasher βmalfunctionsβ are just clogged filters or jammed spray arms.
THE WASH:
Here's what you do BEFORE washing the dishes
Your dishwasher is likely next to a sink, this is because they both are connected to the same hot water tube. Before starting the dishwasher, turn the sink on and wait for the water to become hot. Then the dishwasher will start with hot water, making it much more effective. This is one of THE MOST essential steps.
DO NOT place your detergent in the center of the dishwasher, place it in the built in detergent compartment, which usually looks something like this:
there'll be more on this later
Picking a detergent:
Powder is ideal, a bit behind is gel. This is where you will save the most money. All the bullshit they market you about pods, tablets etc its all bullshit powder and gel is the best. Powder is the cheapest. although if youre a stupid fucker and still want to use pods/tablets go for the store brand/cheapest you can find. the powder i use:
Great Value Automatic Dishwasher Powder, Original Scent, 75 oz, 1 Count
A gel that would probably work:
Great Value Automatic Dishwasher Gel, Lemon Scent, 75 Ounce, 1 Count
how you use the detergent depends on your dishwasher model. it is almost always an air-tight container. it should also contain a much smaller slot labeled 'pre-wash' or not. fil that shit up too. oit makes the dishes more cleaner and allows the pre-wash (the rinse before the main cycle) to use the detergent.
also, most of the time, if you have powder or gel detergent, it you are able to get a cycle done with about half the container filled with detergent. you dont need to completely fill it (will vary depending on water coditions)
while the box may say fill the cup completely, ignore that, thats a bad idea
if you do decide to do this you will likely end up with detergent on your dishes!
Rinse aid:
I already mentioned this earlier, but yeah, change this shit every month. It makes it so water spots dont form and the dishes dry correctly.
OTHER TIPS:
if none of this helps you improve your dishwasher, use a dishwasher cleaning product
if you feel rich 4 it, u can use pods/tablets, they are just expensive excessively but they are properly dosed and will work fine. although you dont get prewash with pods. also all pods are the same, the cheap and expensive shiny ones both do the same shit
dont pre-rinse the dishes, just scrape off large chunks of food.
how to load dishes properly:
make vertical things face upward and towards the center so it doenst block the water sprayer
dont bunch things too close so that all surfaces are able to get a rinse
make sure the spinning sprayers are able to spin and items arent blocking their revolution
TLDR:
HEAT THE SINK TAP WATER RIGHT B4 USING
CLEAN THE FILTER U FAT NASTY FUK EVERY MONTH
USE THE DETERGENT SLOT AND SEAL IT
PUT DETERGENT IN THE PRE-WASH SLOT
CHANGE UR RINSE AID MONTJLY
