For as long as I can remember, I was a nervous prick

What I mean is that im not able to sit still or relax my brain, its literally impossible

while im talking to someone my head goes on overdrive and it feels like I have a thousand thoughts simultaneously while I‘m actually supposed to listen to them

this makes convos pretty awkward often

Im just constantly on edge 24/7 and its exhausting to live that way

the only time the noises calm down is when I‘m drunk, and even then it needs to be a good day, the silence is very relaxing then

any tips? other than zthe fundamentals like good sleep, exercise and diet

Just “socialise” more or go “outside”, it literally works

I didnt want to admit it either but exposure therapy does truly work, you get desensitised to it. I used to be socially nervous but started working an extremely social job and now just dont give af about what i say to randoms and can approach people withoit giving much thought, im still working on holding eye contact tho that shit feels too intimate and i cant think while doing it

exposure therapy and mindfulness techniques

not that i've tried it, but based on logic and reasoning, they would be the most useful compared to most coping methods, especially the ssri method if yo ever take your problem to a le doctor lol

Does this only happen when you are with women? Or does this happen to you even if you want to buy a sandwich, for example lmao

The reason alcohol calms you down is because it’s gabaergic, it binds to the gaba receptors in your brain and inhibits your brain from going haywire.

Benzodiazepines do the same thing but more effectively, start taking those, it’s easy to get them prescribed. If you don’t want to go through the hassle of getting them prescribed or can’t find them on the black market, then try phenibut out. Phenibut is similar to alcohol but doesn’t fuck up your motor skills. Benzos like alprazolam are your best bet(Alprazolom is not the best benzo for this tho, addiction is very common and it’s not meant for long term use, it is fast acting and effective tho)

This is mostly just with very fast acting and short lasting benzos(like alprazolam), it has the same addiction risk and withdrawals as alcohol so it ain’t that bad, you can avoid the withdrawals by tapering off. You can very easily get prescribed a safer benzo, talk to a doctor or online telehealth service and look at your options

It might be an overdeveloped amygdala problem, you could try using psychedelics.

I have never tried them though.

Don’t do them for more than a month

have you heard of masturbation

The reason for your nervousness is your looks. Don’t fool yourself. I have never met a genuinely good looking guy that was nervous in informal settings. Maybe when they are in a business meeting to deal with business issues but other than that never.

meds, sauna, ice bath and frequent prayer. Also just socialise more you’ll get used to it and will develop skills.

i am very paranoid of having a bad trip, i can get very anxious on weed alone

so the withdrawal will kill me?

just joking thanks
They’re worse than alcohol so don’t take them for more than a month or just use them sparingly when you get super fucking anxious, especially when it comes to Xanax as it’s the fastest acting benzo with shortest half life.

it only has that risk if you quit it cold turkey, it's worth a shot imo but talk to your doctor of course
