I give myself a promise that if I don't do X in a given time frame, then I won't be a man. If I don't respect myself, no one does either.
Works every time.

Level up the skill of deep work. Don’t know if tutorials are online or if they are any good. But it’s a super good skill. If you were any good at videos games you probably have this skill but never channeled it in the right direction. I’d you need to learn it. Sorry bro :/

I am good at videogames and can definitely channel this "deep work" skill when necessary, problem is I have difficulty pointing it towards shit I find boring.

Environment > all.

Studying in your room with high degree of effectiveness is difficult for most people unless you are naturally gifted/always been disciplined.

Find a local library, or if you are in Uni, go to the library on campus. In some cases there are single study rooms. If you are in the library and there is still some background noise, pull up youtube/spotify on your laptop and play white noise.

Also turn off your phone (or turn notifications off if you are using it for white noise, and put it out of reach).

Finally, make studying easier for yourself by preparing the material that you plan to study in a structured manner. Do not go into a studying session blindly.

There is a library a 10 min walk from my house, should I go there instead of sitting in my room?

Yes, you'll take it more serious. Making shit ritualistic and symbolic helps me a lot.

Every student should watch this video, and implement some of the advice from this video. Not just watch it and feel like you're doing something productive like we all do 24/7 nowadays.

Absolutely. I mean, you go all the way there, sit down, set everything up, you feel kind of pressured to start studying at that point.

You'd feel like shit if you go there and left without putting some work in, and when you do leave after studying you will feel good about yourself.

It's a step in the right direction.

You are right, environment is crucial.

Remove all distractions.
Repetition is vital for learning.
Think for yourself around the topics you are trying to learn.
Mentally observe without getting emotionally attached to your biases when you learn a topic.
The continued habit is what makes studying effective.
Use a memory palace to memorise info I am able to x10 my memory by using one.

Pharmacology, if you're willing to go that route will be effective beyond belief. Obviously, there are many things you can do without drug usage that can and will be effective but they'll never give you the hyperfocus pharmacology could.
Of course, there comes a price with everything, and with pharmacology, it's a list of (nasty) side effects.
The guy above me gave some great advice though which doesn't require you to take drugs.

Yeah I am extremely anti any type of drug for any purpose personally but still thanks for the advice.
