How to tell if a surgeon is actually good?

I have a surgery basically planned in turkey for a rhino in march and im going to pay the deposit Monday when the person who I talk to for it is back, is there any like special ways I can confirm he's good, ive looked through his insta and reddit in general and everything look good but dont know if I need anything else to see

Check out his qualifications, online reviews and ask about his experience and to see his older works for the surgery youre getting (if theyre not public already). Thats the best you can do, and trust your gut during the consult

I mean ideally you want to see a lot of longterm old results, ideally they have videos of patients coming back one year after surgery and are happy on some video on youtube or instagram. Or if you can get to them privately.

But the most important part is that you are hyper aware of your own case so your dont get fooled. Most surgeons will not be very specific for your own special case. And the reason are both that they dont care much about you specifically and that they dont have that time. Because most surgeons have a lot of other patients, and you are very low priority unfortunately. Thats why many surgeons hate lookmaxxers. They dont want some hyper aware oxymoron thinking they are all important and expect perfection.

right thankyou and also lets say I like all of his end result male noses but non had the exact start of me some being worse, do u think I should be fine if id be happy with any of the noses he's given to the others?

One thing is also that he will list the best results out of 1000s(if its a doc with experience) so one should allways know its the best case scenario. But yea you should be fine
