Here's a trick I've heard being used to make sure an excort isn't undercover:

Make it completely and 100% clear verbally you mean in a non-sexual way. That way if you're being recorded they'll have nothing to pin on you.

In Nevada, prostitution is de facto legal. In other states, it will land you in prison for 10 years.
