If you don't feel motivated to work out, do this:
1. Make a list of every reason why you don't want to work out:
- Be specific and honest with yourself
- Don't leave anything out (you'll surprise yourself with some of your answers)
2. Address each issue as best you can:
- Too afraid to leave the house? -> Do pushups and pullups at your house
- Don't know what workouts to do? -> Ask ChatGPT
- Not enough energy? -> FIX IT (Diet, sleep, etc.)
- THE LIST GOES ON
3. For issues that don't have a quick fix:
- I am scared of the pain
- I am scared of judgment from others
- I hate seeing my reflection in the mirror
- ANYTHING YOU CAN'T IMMEDIATELY CONTROL MUST BE MEDITATED ON, ACCEPTED, AND EXPECTED WHEN YOU GO TO WORKOUT
4. Identify your workout motivations:
- I want to feel confident in myself
- I want to feel healthy
- I want to live a long life
- THE LIST GOES ON
4. Identify the things about your body that you are unsatisfied with and want to change:
- BE CLEAR AND REALISTIC
5. Make a workout plan to address your issues using ChatGPT:
- BE CLEAR AND REALISTIC
6. Close the gap between you and your workout as much as possible:
- Buy gym clothes, headphones, shoes, etc. that you feel confident and comfortable in
- Have your gym clothes/bag ready at all times
- Pre-plan workout entertainment to make the experience as enjoyable as possible
7. PRINT OUT ALL OF THIS INFO ONTO A PIECE OF PAPER (underrated):
- When you wake up the next day, write down when you are going to work out on the paper and STICK TO IT
- When you finish your workout, write down any notes or issues you ran into with your workout inhibitions, motivations, plan, etc. for the next time
- Sign the paper and keep as a trophy
- REPEAT
Good luck
