Oh right perhaps i should be a bit more clear reality exists and it's very real however the qualia our sense perceptions that we see aren't very good models to view true reality I mean even if you take the most staunch reductionist view on fitness selection ( The main Idea that we evolved to see what was useful rather than what was true.) If you look past the washed version of religions, especially Christian, angels were said to be terrifying creatures that would freeze men in their place until they adopted a more humanoid appearance.
