So there’s a very interesting phenomenon, when someone is in prison for so long they don’t wanna leave when the time comes, they’ve been locked up for so long it’s all they know and they don’t think the outside world will be any better no matter how horrible their living conditions are.
Well that’s where life comes in. Imagine you’re nothing with no feelings no happiness no sadness no pain etc and someone offers you the opportunity to live and feel the cruelty of life.
I’d argue life is more like prison but we are institutionalized in a way it’s all we know and that’s why we are scared of dying.
We chose to live the constant torture that comes with life, the pain, cruelty, seeing people die, having heart breaks, illness, suffering.
But we don’t wanna feel nothing because we are too used to feeling something.
Now would a non existent being chose to live this for eternity?
