Preface: Im not some "dark triad" fuckhead irl or anywhere. Im just stating what I beleive to be true human form. 2nd time posting this but better now
Main: So yes, humans by nature act for themselves as top priority. We always protect ourselves first. Only exceptions would be parents to children but this isnt true to all life forms. Anyway, your walking down the hall or on the street, someone drops their items, so your brain runs through the options subcon of what to do in seconds. Lets say you help the person, your brain subcon decided that is best option, why? You could make an arguement that you did it to ONLY help that person and that person only. But I belive the human brain has a "built in karma".
Built in Karma: What does this mean? The instinct of a human, we subcon think of how, maybe even the most selfless of choices will affect us in the end. Going back to the example, after you help the person, maybe you think somehow in some way this good deed will come back to you. Does not even have to be the person who you helped, it could be but not always. We even have the saying "what goes around comes back around" You could ignore an elderly lady crossing the street and honestly their is no real punishment for doing so. So yes, we humans think "In the end will this benifit me?" If you truley knew that you, being selfish would have NO concequences then I doubt 90% of the time you'd be helping someone.
Wrap up: Their are many aruemnts to be made why Im wrong and yes this is a shitty thread but just a thought. Society mandates that we always look out for others, and if your thinking about youself, your a dickhead. Not endorsing being a bad person at all I just think that humans in the true form, all boiled down think for themselves.
