Humour explained [Real reason why women suck at making jokes]

There is lots of theories about humour, (and different types of humors) that i will not get into, you can research them on your own, i will present which theory is most appealing and convincing to me.

And that type of humour would be mix of social bonding and sexual selection theory.

social bonding theory: signals trust, reduces tension between people, similar to grooming in primates.

• this theory explains laughter really well, laughter, both facial expression and sound is to signal friendliness and reduce tension.
• However this theory cant explain content of joke itself.

And that's where sexual selection theory comes.

Good jokes signal genetic fitness, intelligent, creativity, etc.

• Only criticism of this theory is that, humour can be used in non-sexual context or with children.

Best thing about this theory is that it explains why women like funny guys, and why women themselves cant make good jokes (they are also insecure about it). So you could say good humour is dimo trait.
