Can somebody give me the basic gist of using hydrocortisone cream?

-When do i apply? (for example, at night or before moisturizer or sum like that)

-is it permanent?

-Does it come with any problems?

technically hydrocortisone is a light steroid. usually implemented into eczema treatment, it reduces inflammation by lowering the body’s immune response and temporarily thins the skin. it is reversible: after you’ve stopped the usage, give enough time for your skin to recover and it will go back to its original state.

you skin may get dry or irritated. the bigger problem is the recovery time. technically your skin can recover in a couple days, but in less lucky cases it may take months, or in rare instances, years.

i’d say start with once a day, a really light amount to see if it triggers any irritation/allergy. do that for a couple days/weeks. if you see slight improvement with no harmful side effects, either continue the treatment with the same dosage or start doing it twice a day. make sure to give your skin 8h-10h to recover between the applications. another alternative would be to use a cream with a higher concentration. always be careful with products, especially this one since it’s a steroid. if you are young, let your body develop first (19-21y old). never start with high dosages. begin with small applications and work your way up.
