my nose is kinda big and ive been taking hydrocortisone for just under 1 week for it and i havent seen much yet. i also have blackheads/sebacious filaments that ive had for years that even despite me having a foaming cleanser and moisturiser, doesnt go away which is why i have been looking into tretinoin and was wondering whether or not i should to get the benfits for both removing blackheads on my nose and shrinking it, by using hydrocortisone only, tretinoin only, or both

You should be using tretinoin either way, it's a godsend for just about every skin issue.

But make sure to adapt your whole skincare if you're dealing with blackheads, here's a sample routine you could try:
  1. AM:
    1. Cleanser: Foaming, mineral-based, contains salicylic acid (ex: CeraVe SA Cleanser)
    2. Hydrocortisone
    3. Moisturizer: Water-based, contains hyaluronic acid & niacinamide (ex: Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel)
    4. Sunscreen: Water-based or oil-free, non-comedogenic (ex: Bioré UV Aqua Rich SPF 50+)
  2. PM:
    1. Cleanser, same as AM.
    2. Tretinoin
    3. Moisturizer, same as AM.
That should probably fix your issues.

Yeah, I don't think it is advisable to mix them, this seems like the most reasonable way to do it. As far as I'm an aware hydrocortisone isn't degraded by sunlight or makes the skin more sensitive to it (I mean it does, but not to the degree of tretinoin), while tret is completely the opposite.

Honestly, try it out and let me know how it goes if you remember (y)

How much product to use? The general recommendation is a pea-sized amount, so a tiny dot in your finger

yeah but like how much mg like what tretinoin 0.25 orrr
ohhh, if it's your first time using it, I recommend going for the lowest strength you can get, and the next time you buy a tube scaling in %. I'd start at .01%, then 0.025% and end at 0.05%
