It is not physically difficult to kill yourself, it is mentally difficult, even if you do feel suicidal. I don't have first hand experience with being suicidal but I think it is something plenty of people genuinely feel, just executing it is another thing. Kind of like how someone could feel genuinely, homicidal, but never carry it out.
