Safety razor depends on the blade you use in my experience, first month or so I'd always cut my face a bit, I use Astra/Derby blades.

For anyone unconvinced, safety razors are better for your skin, when you use something like this:

You're actually running 2-3 blades over an area of skin probably 3-4 times, that's 6-12 times that you're running a blade on your skin.

With a safety razor it's just once with the grain and once against the grain if you want a smoother finish:

Use a shaving brush and real shaving cream for an even better shave
