I dont want to make my father sad, but i can't change it.

He is sad that he has a inel son that was excluded by his coevals and rejected by his looksmatches constantly and therefore became introverted and a virgin.

He wants to put me into a mental clinic because he hopes (copes) that a change in personality will change my situation but it wont.
