Not a completely ridiculous plan to be honest. Despite practically all LATAM countries being poor, the culture and the aspect of people being nice (not the narcos ofc) is something a lot of foreigners like.

If this isn’t a joke, then I’d recommend some of the other more developed LATAM countries (Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Panamá, Chile, etc.) Mexico is become too unsafe, although I’ve heard cities like Monterrey aren’t so bad
