Honestly it's a blessing It gives me so much free time to pursue what I actually want If I feel like doing nothing, I can relax all day. If I want to go home I can just go whenever I want. I can attend hackathons, army camps, competitions, and learn at my own pace with 0 attendance requirements to give my tests. Everday my professors update us on what will be taught that day in class and I attend the ones that i want.I only attend the lectures that I want to attend when I don't understand the concepts properly or something very important is being taught. My friends from other unis often complain about how the attendance policy stops them from doing anything meaningful. They're stuck aimlessly sitting through boring lectures just to hit the 75% mark, running around different academic blocks, constantly submitting assignments and if they fall short of attendance they get debarred from writing the tests so they again have to find someone to create a fake medical certificate so they can be excused which is again a huge waste of time. It all sounds so exhausting.

But you're still paying thousands of dollars for those lectures.

No I'm paying thousands of dollars for the brand name, alumni network, infrastructure, research opportunities and the environment. What is being taught in my tier 1 uni is also being taught in some tier 3 unis and you can learn almost all these things online too but that is not what counts. There's something in the air here. Everyone i know is dreaming of something big and aiming for the stars. My uni doesn't allow you to be a slacker

Good for you, mine requires 90% attendance. But, anyway, finished my semester and going through internship next year
