Matthew effect broadens the dispersion between extreme high IQ people and day-to-day retards who need to fully turn to copes to survive. There'll be a very small amount of people with extremely high perceived IQs relative to the rest of the world. The Matthew effect really applies to everything else though; selectiveness, quality of life etc.
More of the bad, less of the good; but the good will be more good and the bad will seem more extreme in comparison.
