i can't stop biting my fingernails and its pissing me off (also my first thread!!)

TLDR; I bite my fingernails and around my finger nails until it bleeds and i don't know how to stop.

every single second i'm not doing something i resort to biting my fingernails and it's been really hard to stop myself from doing it. ever since i was around 7 years old its become a regular habit of mine and i've tried to stop so many times (each attempt not lasting more than 2 weeks). i do it worse inside of school because i literally have no other stimulus apart from biting them.

the problem isn't that i bite my finger nails it's that theres only so much fingernail i can actually bite off and eventually i have to resort to other things like the skin around my fingers leading them to always be bloody and have loose skin hanging off. sometimes when my finger tips get too painful i start chewing on my fucking knuckle.

i've tried every method to stop (like dipping my nails into that gross tasting stuff) but nothing works and at school a group of foids calls me salad fingers (jfl). it's not that huge of a deal but it's been really pissing me off lately i'm able to quit porn but not something like biting my fingernails?? i don't even fucking like it i just do it.

if anyone had the same problem as me help because im out of ideas.

been trying that more and it's been helping but the problem is that most of my biting happens inside of school and gum is a banned and my stupid ass can't hide my chewing from my teachers.
