This is a self improvement forum. And honestly, if you aren't improving yourself, then what else are you going to do with your life? Are you going to cope with movies, tv shows and video games? Because that is what I did for many years early on and it didn't help me at all.

Self improvement is similar to leveling up but instead of doing it in a video game, you are leveling up yourself in real life, so instead of living in a fake virtual world, you live in the real world, which is what life is all about anyways.

And the main goal of self improvement isn't just to get laid, but getting laid is a byproduct of it nonetheless.

Back in 2018, I got a double jaw surgery, but I didn't do it just to get laid, I did it because my underbite gave me such a bad jaw posture that I felt insecure and had low self confidence and once I fixed that, most of my insecurities went away.

And for many years, I have been trying to acquire a very muscular physique, in order to overcome an inferiority complex that I always had as the weakest and skinniest guy in school. The bigger and stronger I get, the more powerful I feel, and although it is going to result in getting me laid more, it isn't the main reason why I am doing this, otherwise I wouldn't be as motivated as I am right now.

The problem with focusing on self improvement just to get laid is that it has to depend on your libido, which will not always be at 100% all the time, so since most of the time, you won't be horny, you won't feel motivated enough to improve yourself, so you'll eventually fail. This is why guys do Nofap but it doesn't work because even then, you can't maintain a high libido 24/7 and fully rely on that, you must have other reasons for improving yourself, otherwise you'll fail.

Also, I never saw those women again, and the people I knew from high school didn't notice a difference, but some women who had seen me before my surgery noticed a difference and started checking me out and I got way more attention from women after I got the surgery done. But all that attention has gone away since we have been forced to wear masks in public places. But when I get muscular enough, that looksmax will be visible even during covid restrictions, so I won't be relying on my face anymore to be considered attractive.

My jaw surgery wasn't plastic surgery, because it wasn't just for aesthetics, although it did help me a lot.

There is nothing wrong with looksmaxxing, even if it is just to attract women, as long as you don't die in the process, so you have to weigh the risks vs the rewards.

Unless you are about to start a company and put all your focus on that or you are about to compete in a sport, then you have the time to looksmax and if you don't looksmax, then you'll just be a consumer, and eventually a cuck.

What you have to understand is that in the modern western world, most married men get cheated on and eventually divorced and lose a huge chunk of their finances and lose custody of their children, most guys in relationships get cheated on and sometimes tricked into raising kids that aren't theirs and most guys who choose to opt out by not getting into a relationship are forced to be incels because they are too unattractive to be able to hookup with many women.

So if you start out as average looking and you are too lazy to looksmax, you will either become a beta cuckold or an incel.

Self improvement/lookmaxing is a double edged sword. The concept or improving yourself in real life is great, but you risk to feel like you are never enough or that there is always something of you that needs to be maxed. If you fall into this you will be miserable.
