If it doesn’t affect your life, your goals, or your bank account, why even give it the time of day? Getting emotionally invested in a political shouting match is just a massive distraction from actually improving your own situation.

Some people just say something is alive when it breaths or his hearth pumps enough blood on his own, others take it by the biological definition of life... etc. The problem here is that if you allow abortion, where do you do draw the line on when is it permissible to kill a human being for your own benefit? It leads to very dark pathways. Also destroying a whole ecosystem is objectively bad as well.

We are individuals and as all the other species in the world they look out for their own species, it’s not like their life is more valuable than ours, it’s more about protecting our own species, our shared values, and the structures that allow human life to flourish
